A little one is on the way!

This little girl is one of Ella's playmates. She is going to be a big sister in a few weeks! We are all so excited and cannot wait to meet him.

2 Residents + 2 Dogs = 2 Much Fun

This photo session was a lot of fun. These dogs were so excited and fun to be around. Having a golden retriever myself, really made me think back to the days when he was younger and was full of energy. We got to take a few pictures around a pond in their backyard, some with and without the dogs, and then some in her new car that he got her for her birthday! It so much fun to change things up and do something different. ;)

A Special Thanks!

I really owe a lot to this family. They were my first family I photographed and they have really gotten the word out there for me. Their son is one day younger than my daughter and we met in a playgroup. I am very honored to have taken more pictures of their family.

Amazing!

(I cannot get credit for this picture. ;) His mom sent it to me.)

Have you ever met someone and immediately felt like you have known them forever? :) That is exactly how I feel about this little boy's mom. This little boy goes to my school. He loves to make cupcakes and he has the sweetest family. He was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma (a form of cancer) months ago. The two teachers/speech pathologist he is sitting with are AMAZING to say the least. They participated in a Shave-A-Thon to raise money for cancer and even shaved their heads. HOW ADMIRABLE! Your heart really has to be in the right place to go into teaching. These two have definitely went above their calling.
This little boy is currently getting treatment at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. They do research at the hospital and all of the money goes straight to the research, which will hopefully one day cure all of these kids. Many people have asked me what they can do to help or where the best place would be to send money to. If you have any extra spare change please donate to help with the research for childhood cancer.
You can make your checks out to:
Pediatric Oncology WFUBMC
and send it to:
Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center
Attn: Thomas McLean, M.D.
Pediatric Hematology / Oncology Ward
Medical Center Blvd.
Winston-Salem, NC 27157
Make sure you tell them that it is for Research for Childhood Cancer . I have met many amazing families over this past summer that are going through their child having cancer. Baptist Hospital seems to be their second home. They have their favorite rooms, nurses, things that they do, etc. They all have become very close and are truly amazing. They are extremely strong and are all sticking together through this battle each and everyday. Each day is definitely a gift for all of us. Please donate if you can.

Engagement Session

I was able to take this couple's engagement pictures at a park. They come to this park often, so they felt that this was the perfect place. Joel (my husband) and Ella (my daughter) were able to come with me and play at the park while I took pictures. Next is her bridal portraits and then her wedding in December. :)
